5 Things | Feb 9

The hilarious update from my week ~ is that I am blind. I’ve put off going to an eye doctor since high school (I’ve known I have needed glasses since then but never wanted to wear them). I know, I know,… not good. Finally after some on-going terrible headaches I had a feeling it could all be related to my eyes. Sure enough, my doctor called my vision “unacceptable” but that I’ve been functioning for years like this so I guess I’m just used to this normal. Hilarious. So guess my Caddis readers aren’t cutting it, and I’ve ordered my actual prescription and I will now be an all-the-time glasses wearer?!!!

So that’s that. Next week I’m heading to New York again for a little work and fun which I can’t wait! And in the meantime… I’m looking forward to a day in Sonoma with girlfriends this weekend and watching the Super Bowl on Sunday with the fam.

Is it just me or does this year feel like it’s off to an especially speedy start? Here are some finds / things from this week…

Palmetto Green!

Okay I haven’t been this excited for spring!! See I have this thing for greens… of all shades really but… from Doen’s latest Spring Chapter this skirt in Palmetto is my dream skirt. Also, topping my faves from their latest spring drop is this floral dress. One to wear now with sweaters and would be perfect for Easter brunch.

Bonus: These colors complimented the Palmetto skirt perfectly so I had to share: if you’re in LA ~ go see the latest works by an artist I love, Cheryl Humphreys. The show, Second Skin, is opening Feb 17th at Sarah Brook Gallery.

Agmes Hoop Earrings

I keep posting these Agmes sterling silver hoop earrings, but I can’t stop thinking about them. Currently at the top of my wishlist and would be ideal for date nights / evenings out.

Savette Sera Clutch

I was stopped in my tracks when browsing Savette this week and saw these gorgeous made-to-order clutches. The structured shape!, silver hardware and chain strap!! Of course, I can’t stop thinking about the priciest of the batch, in Maple Lizard… which would be so cool just on a night out in jeans. It feels like a clutch you would see made by The Row.

I wanted to keep these a secret but then thought, we’re friends, and if you’re looking for a special clutch these would be my pick!

Caddis Readers

If you are in need of some eye glasses that won’t completely break the bank ~ I have worn Caddis for a couple years now and am a big fan. I bought this pair most recently (in the past couple months) and wear them while working on the computer. I find that the blue light blocking has really helped my eyes if I’m looking at a screen for more than a couple of hours especially.

* The Hooper is a little big on my face but for the price and the look I wanted I think they’re a good option for just WFH. I do however have a pair from Oliver Peoples on my wishlist.

Bright Eyes Lift Gel

In beauty products that are actually worth the splurge, in my opinion: 111Skin. I’ve loved this bright eyes lift gel and just rebought it again. I went without for a bit not wanting to pay that price, but it’s just such a good one (brightens and reduces puffiness)… and I’m usually in the camp of all eye creams work the same but this one is noticeable!
