12 Of My Best Luxury & Beauty Buys of 2023

I always love to read these lists and yet I don’t think I’ve share one of my own before so I thought why not!?

Breaking down a few of my best buys from 2023 (ish)*… from my most loved / worn luxury items to beauty and a few items in-between.

* Actually this was kind of hard for me as I realized a lot of my best luxury buys are older than 2023 so I included a couple of my most worn items in the past couple years but also, it’s proof that key investment pieces are worth it!

Also: the true top buys from 2023 were all trips / memories ~ spontaneous flight / trip to meet a girlfriend in Paris, our family vacation to Kona (I still dream about it), Cabo with close friendsmaking it to New York a couple of times with T

The Row Zip Boots

Topping my list ~ the zip-front boots from The Row were definitely my most worn boot of 2023. But technically I think I bought these back in 2021? Still, I’m including as they’re a best luxury purchase for me! As someone who’s shorter I love the height they give me (an extra 2/3 inches for sure!)… hence why I want to wear them everyday. But also, I’ve found them to be so comfy especially a few years in as they’ve molded to my feet. They’re the boot I always pack for a trip when we have a lot of walking and I always pull for them whether it’s a day with the kids, a museum date, lunch outing etc. Although they are a heavy boot so if I’m traveling I wear these on the plane.

Sizing: True to size. A few more sizes available here and in brown suede here.

On Cloudmonster Sneakers

These are the BEST running shoes ~ literally as the name says, like running on clouds. Completely got me back into running again this year and saved my knees. More sizes and colors here.

The Row Black Pant

Also from The Row, I tried on this high-rise black pant (more sizes here) and instantly was obsessed with the feel of them / thickness / elevated look. It’s truly the ultimate black pant. I thought about them for months (maybe a year?) before pulling the trigger and they were a great splurge buy last year. I pulled for them on those more special occasions but also for travel / meetings and whenever I wanted to look a bit nicer. Another great classic from The Row that’s a wide leg fit. Or a similar pair from High-Sport that everyone raves about.

Sizing: I wear the XS and didn’t get these hemmed (but I wear them with a heel). I do love the ankle grazing cropped fit if you’re taller though which makes me debate hemming!

Eres Bandeau Swimsuit

Okay so the Eres bandeau swimsuit was a gift last year from MyTheresa ~ this price tag on a swimsuit is steep but it was by far my most worn last summer and I know it will be for years. I love a strapless swimsuit for zero tan lines and this one hugs nicely around the top so it’s actually quite secure. I also like the coverage / it feels like a good mom life option for me (can actually swim and play around / jump in without any mishaps) and I feel comfortable in it around friends / on vacation etc. I remember seeing a ~ 60 year old women in it last summer when we were in Hawaii and she looked so classy and chic getting out of the pool… it was a good reminder, all we truly need is one great timeless black swimsuit.

Johanna Ortiz Skirts

I stalked the Johanna Ortiz collections this past year… I mean, so fun!!… a favorite of mine for resort / summer dressing! And scored a few gems on sale that I wore so much like the above green skirt (similar).

You can find some amazing pieces on sale right now if you hunt around… like this duster, this green mini, this red dress,  this wrap,… and I’ve always liked this seashell print dress.

Khaite August Hobo Bag

Ah, my Khaite August Hobo Bag is technically another 2022 purchase I believe (2021?) but I’m including here as well as it was my most used handbag for the past couple of years. It’s such a great hands free option that elevates even the most simple of outfits. You’ve heard me rave on about it for sure by now and I would 100% rebuy in coffee suede.

Hourglass Eyebrow Gel

My eyebrows are the one thing that I do “do” every morning before leaving the house. I don’t wear mascara everyday but a little gel to darken my brows and shape them is a necessity for me. This one by Hourglass has become my holy grail and the perfect shade of brown for me. (Also available on Sephora here).

Roman and Williams Lighting

We finally remodeled our laundry room after years of wanting to and I picked out these cutie light fixtures  from Roman and Williams in New York and couldn’t love them more. We have the smaller size in the laundry room and the larger one as you walk through this little entryway into the laundry room… which you can see here.

Chanel Longlasting Liquid Eyeshadow

I’m low maintenance when it comes to my eyes and reserve wearing eyeshadows for events / special occasions but my girlfriend Chris really sold me on the ease of these for everyday wear after traveling together. So easy to toss in your bag / and give a gorgeous buildable long-lasting color. Desert Wind is an ideal smokey eye (just smudge a little along your lids with your fingers)… and I swear Rayon makes me look more awake / like I tried a little for the day.

Celine Denim

I have always loved Celine’s denim… the washes are so good. While in Paris this last fall I decided to try on a few pairs and of course I couldn’t leave the store without a pair. The price definitely feels better in Europe so maybe save this purchase for the next time you’re over there … but gosh they’re so good. I sized up in mine because I wanted a baggier fit and have spent most of my fall / winter living in them.

Another favorite designer splurge denim is this pair… which I dove into more here.

Rimowa Carry-On Size Suitcase

Shoot you guys I’m cheating at this list ~ another end of 2022 purchase but a most used / favorite buy for the traveler is my Rimowa Cabin suitcase (in the slate gloss). I bought this in Paris so again the price felt better, I believe at the time I paid around $650 for it. It’s literally the smoothest rolling carry-on and I am obsessed. I can fit just enough for a 3/4 day trip and it’s my ideal size / super lightweight etc. My husband always steals it for his work trips and I think he just needs to bite the bullet and get one for himself. Or I’ll take the newer one, wink wink.

Vintage Hermes Bag

I’ve always loved Hermes bags but knew if I ever bought one I’d want to find it vintage and one that had a special story. This is that bag for me! I bought it at a favorite vintage store in Paris this past fall. I found it on the first day of my trip… thought about it all week and finally went back for it a few hours before my flight on the last day. It is a nice smaller size for just the essentials and I love the silver hardware.

Similar from the 2020 collection here… although I have to say mine was half the price. But I think the best part about this purchase is finding a bag you love while on a trip / brings all the joy when you carry it because it reminds you of a special memory or milestone.
