Somehow I have this knack of booking a trip to LA during sale season… which meant I had to hit up my favorite shops on Melrose including Isabel Marant (my first stop of course), Rachel Comey, Mansur Gavriel, The Line, as well as Curve on Robertson Blvd. They’re not always total deals but when you’re crazy for a designer and follow them seasonally and have your wish-list in mind, it’s the key time to pick up a few closet staples… at a price-point you can finally justify. The Net-A-Porter seasonal sales (at 50% off) are my absolute favorite online sales. Sizes go quickly and this post is a little late in the game but after searching around again last night I realized a quick round-up post was worth mentioning as there are still so many great pieces to snag!
I know online shopping isn’t for everyone (hi mom!)… especially sale online shopping which can feel overwhelming if you’re not a fan. But a couple of tricks to make things easier, 1) always categorize your search by size and style or designer (Net-A-Porter makes this super easy!). Sometimes I’m looking for something in particular (i.e.: black jeans) or just want to browse my favorite designers to see what is now on sale. 2) Or stick to the items you absolutely need in your wardrobe. It’s easy to get caught up in “it’s such a great price”… instead search by the items you need and keep a strict shopping rule for yourself while browsing so you don’t get carried away. 3) Browse the editors favorites–they have amazing taste and obviously know the best of the best pieces on the site!
