Flashing back to our stay at Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. Just looking at these photos makes me yearn for another week soaking up that summer sunshine at this gem of a resort (and I’m already giddy about the thought of heading back next as a little family of three). Since I had visited Ojai previously I knew what spots I wanted to head back to, but I also turned to my girlfriend Sam’s recent suggestions on the quaint mountain town, and of course she did not disappoint.
The Ojai Valley Inn & Spa is uber relaxing!–and the perfect family escape. There were actually so many more families this visit which made me think, can we do this again next summer with our little guy? Our mornings were spent grabbing coffee at Libby’s and strolling the trails into town for a bite at Knead Bakery. While the afternoons were spent lounging poolside sipping lavender lemonades. I cashed in that prenatal spa appointment which felt amazing–and we ate dinner two out of the three nights at Oak, right on the property. The resort is so relaxing that you’ll never want to leave… but you should because the town of Ojai is fun to explore too!
It would be the ideal spot to spend the week with a couple of families as there is something for everyone. I’ve already got it all figured out, the moms can head to the spa one morning while the guys watch the kids and the guys can play golf the following. There are bikes to rent, cabanas to lounge in, trails to explore, and a couple of cute shops in town for perusing.
Highlights from the week also included: checking out the newer boutique, In the Field, which has been getting a lot of buzz and for good reason, a yummy pasta dinner at Nocciola (one of Sam’s recommendations), and a day trip into Santa Barbara which is only about a 40 minute drive away. While in the area we headed to San Ysidro Ranch for cocktails (and mock-tails) and now this historic spot has us craving another romantic getaway there.
