There’s nothing I love more than a thoughtfully curated shop. My experience as a buyer myself has given me a whole other appreciation for everything that goes into that edit which is why I’m so passionate about sharing rad boutiques and shop owners / entrepreneurs. Midland, located in Culver City, is one such shop that if not already on your radar–it should be–as owners, Paige Appel and Kelly Harris, have created something really special here. A mix of home goods (I want all of the ceramic pieces!), effortless clothing (think easy linen dresses and tops), amazing jewelry, and a great selection of coffee table books and gifts. It’s easy laid-back southern California style and lifestyle to the T. And if you’re needing a little bit of persuading to get out of downtown LA and over to Culver City, it’s located just down the street from The Platform–the cool shopping area that Janessa Leone and Freda Salvador are both located in along with a handful of others (as well as Blue Bottle Coffee and Loqui–order the mushroom tacos!)–so it’s perfect for making an afternoon out of it.
