Without fail Memorial weekend usually feels like the kick-off to summer. Between the healthy dose of sunshine, family time, sleeping-in, and overall simple pleasures it was just the mini break I’ve been craving. I drove up to my parent’s house for a family friend’s wedding on Saturday (I wore this dress), and then onto San Francisco on Sunday to celebrate my cousin’s birthday in the city. After morning brunch with a few of my favorite girls we spent the rest of the afternoon in my old SF backyard (which is now my sister and cousin’s backyard!) playing corn hole, bbqing, and indulging in a Sierra Nevada or two. San Francisco really has my heart this time of year as the weather and overall spirit just can’t be beat.
