With this season’s goal to gift in more meaningful ways, and in continuation with my shop small series in partnership with American Express, next on my must-support list: Esqueleto. As a jewelry lover and lover of cool curiosity shops and boutiques that support local artists, this rad jeweled gem is not to be missed. The Oakland-based shop (located in Temescal alley–which is a great shop small destination in general), carries a curated selection of fine jewelry designers, artwork, handcrafted objects and unique oddities, making it the perfect spot to look for a unique and meaningful gift for that special someone on your list. The space itself is tiny tiny and yet it’s also one of those spots that you could easily spend hours in and never seem to see everything. I’m like a kid in a candy store here, trying on all of the dainty rings and checking out the latest oddities, skulls, artwork, and ceramics.
