We live in one of those neighborhoods where everyone goes all out for every holiday. This past Halloween we got 1500+ trick-o’-treaters (and it was a rainy night!). On the Fourth of July everyone is out in the streets lighting off fireworks. And Christmas is the most spirited of them all. Our neighbors take their lights and Santa decor very seriously–so much so that people come from all over to drive / walk the blocks, hot chocolate (or wine!) in hand to get their festive fix. This will be our second Christmas in our home and we haven’t quite stepped our Xmas light game up to the level of everyone else around us, but I think we have a pretty good excuse this year for our simplicity (baby!).
We’ve been taking Rex on walks through the neighborhood each day but bundled him up at dusk one evening last week so he could get a glimpse at the spirited hood he lives in. We’ve been bundling him up in extra layers (he loves this cozy sleep sack–which has been great not only for bedtime but keeping him cozy in his stroller as well).
I’ve been keeping just as cozy too and have been living in this oversized knit these days (now on sale!)… so much so that I’m tempted to order another in black.
Bundling up our sleepy head.
