Prior to last week I hadn’t been to Santa Barbara since college. And when I visited in the past, I was staying with my girlfriends in I.V. (aka the college zone and a completely different experience). I remembered State Street but that was about it, so I completely feel in love with the city’s charm all over again. I loved spending time with my fave locals (my girlfriend Sam and my childhood bestfriend Kris) and seeing “their” Santa Barbara. Two favorites from the week (outside of Fiesta) included dinner at The Lark, and a shopping date at DIANI.
Whenever Sam and I get together, shopping is naturally a must. We’ve been lucky enough to spend quite a bit of time together this summer, and she’s quickly become one of my favorite shopping partners-in-crime.
Despite the heat, I had fall on the brain and Sam and I had fun styling a couple pre-fall looks. I gravitated towards the plaid as I’m on a total western kick. (Um, have you picked up the latest Vogue? The editorial with Blake Lively in Jackson Hole is basically my dream and what I plan to channel this fall).
Confession: this Isabel Marant jacket was too good… it had to come home with me as well as these Golden Goose sneakers.
