This past weekend my Sacramento pride grew. I was flattered to be asked to guest instagram for the city by my new friend Faith who does a seriously awesome job curating the @visitsacramento instagram account. (Fact: Finding this instagram account when I first moved here made me like Sacramento 100% more–she’s that good at highlighting the area’s best assets). At first I thought oh gosh, this is a lot of pressure, but after my first couple of posts I quickly realized what a supportive community Sac is, and just went about posting as if it was my personal account. My guy and I enjoyed using this as an excuse to play tourist and went about the city exploring / hitting up as many of our favorite spots as we could fit into each day.
Speaking of favorite local spots, I’m featuring one of our go-to restaurants again–Hook & Ladder. As I continue to decorate our loft, I’ve been seeking inspiration all around and have found somewhat of a surprising amount of decor inspiration while dining out. The industrial-meets-rustic-americana vibe at Hook & Ladder continues to give me new ideas for our own place and the yummy meals / drinks are just kind of a bonus. Here are a few elements currently inspiring me.
First things first, I bought these clear bulb string lights after posting about them here and am excited to put them to use soon.
Americana vibes (wanting some flag swag).
Mix-matched furniture, including old with new.
High on my apartment decor wish-list: a new rustic kitchen table + swapping out our lighting fixtures for something more unique.
More greenery + succulents. Obviously.
Exposed beams and cement flooring.
