I talked my guy into using the rest of his paternity leave (hooray!) and we snuck away, down south, last week for a mini road trip. Our first stop: sunny Santa Barbara. More specifically, a stay at the Four Seasons The Biltmore Santa Barbara filled with plenty of quality time with my sweet friend, Sam (Could I Have That?) and fam. We lucked out with the best weather while visiting, and Sam and I decided a picnic was an absolute must. Plus now with littles, any kind of hang situation where tired witching-hour tears, napping, and running around is allowed just makes happy hour happier (for us parents!). I brought the pre-Easter chocolates (duh, had to!), Sam brought the most delicious cheese, we picked up some picnic essentials (a mix of vintage finds from one of my favorite home stores Diani Living) and the prettiest stolen from your grandma’s house glassware… and bribed the boys with beers. Couldn’t be more excited that picnic season is here.
On Me | Jenni Kayne Sweater. Rachel Comey Pants. Vince Slides. Hat from Diani Living (was super excited about this $40 score!). On Rex | Onesie from Diani Living.
We weren’t sure how Rex would do with the 5 hour plus car ride down to SB, but he did pretty gosh darn well. He’s our little trooper! He sure doesn’t love the carseat but once we’re on the freeway he falls fast asleep.
All-white cozy Jenni Kayne sweaters and jeans for the two of us. (We tend to dress alike, especially when together!) Sam’s effortless California style is my favorite.
These goblets from William Sonoma are stepping up my picnic game. I’m swooning over the etched vintage-esque details and love that they look as if I snagged them from my Nana’s collection. I’m such a fan of elevating your picnics with fine china and pretty glassware–always mixing old with new.
The chicest Easter chocolates from Valerie Confections (and super yummy!)! A must for including in your baskets this year.
This vintage dairy jug in the prettiest tint of pink had to come home with me. (Another Diani Living find.) Wicker basket, stand, and plates also from Diani.
Also changing my spring picnic game–an oversized tote for carrying all of the necessities from a new-to-site: Loom Goods.
