Just like that my babies are definitely not babies anymore –– and are in full-time school! Rex (5) just started kindergarten this last week which felt like a major milestone. I’ve seen such a huge leap in his confidence this year which has really pulled on my heart strings (in a good way)! So proud of him and the sweet boy he is. He really loves learning and is so happy to be back in a classroom with all of his friends and even begged me to put him in the after school program, so that was a real win. And Willow (3), our hilarious independent, accessorizing fashionista is in pre-school. She went to school both days this week wearing her sunglasses and continuously cracks us up these days with her style choices! And her silly spunky personality in general. She is a girl that knows what she wants!
Getting back into this school routine has already been good to me! I honestly feel like I’m just getting myself back a bit now almost three years later (after having Willow). I’m definitely still finding my working mom balance as I’m sure so many parents can relate but I’ve been so excited to get back into a more regular rhythm again after the summer. Life feels really fast right now… doesn’t it? I’m just trying to slow things down as much as possible in this busy season and not put too much on our already packed fall / winter calendar.

I shop on Maisonette a lot for my two and am so thrilled to support their partnership with Baby2Baby, an organization that provides basic essentials to families living in poverty across the country. In my honor, my friends at Maisonette are donating $50K worth of new clothing to school-aged kids. It’s part of their efforts to send $1 million worth of product – their largest donation to date! And another site you know I’ve been partnering with and love, Mytheresa, is donating 10% of proceeds on regular priced items to Every Mother Counts. They have a rad kid’s section (splurgy) but so good for some special designer pieces!
