January 20 Links + Sale Finds

I’m just coming up for air after Rex was out of school with yet another cold throwing off my week… trying to get some consistency here with kids in and out of school is a tricky thing! ;P But rounding up some January notes and favorites!… and as promised, a few sale finds thrown in too! Hope you have a great weekend!! xx

This week I’ve been cooking recipes from oldie but goodie favorite cookbooks of mine. Healthy yet hearty and comforting dishes have been hitting the spot. I love grain bowls loaded with veggies, salmon (with GP’s lemon vinaigrette), baked sweet potatoes and lots of soups!

My skin has been feeling so dry and winter dull so I wanted to do a little test this week. I gave up wine, ate healthy meals, tons of water and vitamin C and tried to jump into bed by 9:30pm. I kept my skincare routine super minimal––Vintners Daughter Essence and Augustinus Bader. And it’s been kind of amazing how quickly I noticed a difference in the natural glow of my skin. We know all of these things and yet I continually slip out of my healthy ways. Always a good reminder that you can try all of the creams and skincare beauty products out there but the best things for our bodies and skin are truly in your wellness routine and free (sleep and water!)!

Also slathering my body with Osea’s new body butter. It’s so rich and creamy and smells lovely. It’s sold out quite a few places but you can still find it here. It’s truly saving my winter dry skin.

We have another batch of our striped sweaters and a new kid’s knit coming soon for Wrel so I’ll be sure to keep you posted! Sam and I jumped on a catch-up call yesterday and it got me excited for spring / summer and what we have coming up!

Did anyone else get as excited about dressing again as I did after seeing Khaite’s Pre-Fall Collection?!

Jenni Kayne Cocoon Cardigan (ALICIA15 for 15% off)

I caught the January organization bug and edited my closet which always feels like the best start to the new year. I’ve really honed in on my personal style and it feels good to have pieces you love and are easy to style and pull for over and over again! Thinking this will be a continual theme this year of trying to share more restyling and thoughts on building a classic wardrobe of pieces you love. I think in general I’m just more thoughtful of what I actually pull for and rewear season after season / what’s practical for motherhood and my daily life etc.

I always rebuy my favorite bras this time of year (in black and white). This bralette from Anine Bing is so comfy and one I wear daily.

I’m a little late to be sharing the January sales but since I had some requests to pull together an edit, which as you know is so fun for me––I mean, twist my arm … I love pulling together finds like this for you!

I love the shape of this tote bag from Khaite! I’ve had my eye on it for months actually. It’s so dreamy and the perfect colored tote for spring! I am leaning towards the darker tan personally but this price is really great if someone is wanting a lighter bag for spring / summer.

My favorite low heeled sandal (also comes in a flat style) from The Row. I think this sandal in white is so chic for spring / summer. And since I rarely wear heels anymore a dressier sandal feels worth the splurge.

Love me a green quilted down coat!

This Toteme sweater is such a great forever closet staple!

Oh and I snagged this swimsuit (also comes in black) for summer! Another great chic swimsuit line on sale.

Sale Thoughts | When it comes to sales I really try my hardest not to be persuaded and instead think about my closet and what I actually need––then obviously if the price is right it’s amazing to score it on sale. I have bought so many of my favorite designer pieces during the sales and have had them in my closet for years as they’ve still been thoughtful purchases.
