And just like that after months of renovations–we’re finally all moved in! The past few days have been a blur of packing and unpacking–with a never ending sea of trick-or-treaters and plenty of red wine drinking with the new neighbors thrown into the mix. We went straight from moving all day (un-showered) to a Halloween party next door. What an awesome way to be welcomed onto the street right? Turns out we sure lucked out in the neighbor department. I only wish we had organized costumes and bought more candy (… we will definitely be stepping up our game next year–including a pre-party shower!).
Now that all of our things are moved over to the new place, I’m beyond anxious to get organized and of course, style it up so it officially feels like home.
One of the aspects that we fell in love with in our new place is all of the built-in bookcases flanking the fireplace in the family room. But as I unpack I’ve quickly realized we don’t own nearly enough books to fill up all of the shelves. (So now you all know what to get us for Christmas.) I’ve been scouring the web and flipping through all of my favorite decor magazines for unique shelf styling ideas. From moroccan trays, greenery, candles and fashionable coffee table books I’m on the hunt for cool and eclectic decor pieces to fill all of that empty space.
