We’ve been enjoying as many meals in our backyard as possible this summer which has made me so so happy to have a yard and space to entertain. And thanks to the slight cool down in weather (gotta love that delta breeze!) this means it’s been absolutely perfect for evening bbq’ing and cocktail hours. I invited my girlfriends over last Friday for a little impromptu cheese and bubbly, and what was originally supposed to be a brainstorming sesh for an upcoming project turned into an all-nighter. Spontaneous nights, good friends, and new recipes are what summer is all about!
My girlfriend Stephanie surprised us with homemade blackberry syrup which was the secret ingredient and ideal refreshing upgrade to our bubbles! (You can also make this non-alcoholic with sparkling water!)
Syrup | boil equal parts berries, sugar, water (1/3 cup each)
Bonus: Top with fresh blackberries and a sprig of green to really impress your guests.
