Excited to finally share photos with you from this dreamy, what felt like the first real spring-like day, out in the Blue Diamond Almond orchards just outside of Sacramento. I had the pleasure of getting to style and help with the creative vision of this same lunch that Blue Diamond hosted two years ago, and when they asked me to help pull it all together again this year I was thrilled as the barn setting is just so magical. I hired local florists, Jessica (of Oak & Ash) and Taylor (Taylor Anne Co.) to bring the floral vision to life and gave them complete creative freedom. Per usual they knocked it out of the park. I was a little in over my head that particular week with back-to-back commitments so I can’t thank those two enough… in fact, here’s a tip: find yourself some amazing florists and they’ll always make your work look amazing, ha! (I also love looking back and comparing how we transformed the barn the year prior–much more minimal on the tables).

(Looking back at the previous year’s event as I was putting this post together made me laugh because I literally wore the same outfit. Basically–same exact boots! Ha, my uniform.)

This year’s lunch was celebrating Blue Diamond Almonds latest launch of their almond and fruit varieties. Blue Diamond Almonds hosted a group of editors and writers for a few days and this lunch was their opportunity to see the orchard and try the new product.
I wanted to incorporate the samples into a pretty display table as guests arrived and picked up fresh fruit highlighting the four unique combinations: Fiery Ghost Pepper Almonds & Tart Cherry, Sea Salt Almonds & Whole Blueberry, Sweet Cardamom Almonds & Honey Crisp Apple and Dark Chocolate Flavored Almonds & Toasted Coconut. All four are super yummy, but I have to say the Dark Chocolate Almonds and Coconut have sure have been satisfying my sweet tooth lately.
Cutest French bread boards (from Elsie Green) to display the almond varieties along the farm tables.
I’m really happiest behind-the-scenes and love getting to step back and watch everyone “ooh and ahh” over the florals and tablescape during their lunch is always so fun!
The dreamiest! Love this muted color palette so much for spring.
My favorite aspect of Jessica and Taylor’s floral work this year was the almond branch floral installation they created above the tables. It was such a sweet touch!
