You know I’m all for an excuse to gather my people, especially around the holidays. Well, my girlfriend, Maia owner of sustainable children’s boutique: Bitte, and I decided to gather our friends at the vintage french home store Elsie Green for a pre-holiday afternoon of bites, sips and a little dried floral wreath making. No agenda besides getting together before the craziness of the holiday season. Maia brought a small assortment of the cute kids stockings Bitte makes and some sweet stuffer ideas to share with us as well (such a sweet selection!). We sipped on natural wine from our friends at Jeune and I threw together a board of fruit and cheese bites to nibble on. The selection of Elsie Green mix-matched glassware and vintage crystal pitchers that I snagged to serve with from around the store really made the table and vibe feel extra special! A huge thank you to Elsie for letting us take over the shop for the afternoon… and to those who came!
DIY Dried Floral Wreath by Oak and Ash
This is the simplest dried floral wreath that you can all make this season! Simply snag a grapevine wreath (you could even get this on Amazon) and then get creative with your dried branches and florals (whether found in your backyard, foraged on a hike or hit up your local flower mart). All you need from there are some floral scissors as you simply stick the florals into the wreath but may need to clip the length. Tip: start in the 2 o’clock region and work your way around like a clock. Finish with pretty ribbon and hang on your door or around your house. I loved seeing everyone’s unique touch and spin on their wreaths. So many had a holiday vibe that could carry through all the way to the new year.

Remember my summer dried floral alp blossom cheese obsession (here too)? Still going strong to serve at parties. Again, was such a hit. Oh so pretty with the dried lavender, and delicious!
I’m constantly inspired by Elsie Green and always leave wanting to go home and rearrange things. I had to snap a photo of this cute fall setting. Loved the leaves they incoporated and also, I didn’t know French set the table with silverware faced down? The decorative design of the forks and spoons are on the back… so sweet!
