Every winter as the sun sets earlier and the temps drop, a cozy night-in sounds much more appealing than heading out. While I certainly love a fun night out (back when we were able to!), a glass of vino by the fireplace with a good book or good company is way more my speed. I have always been more of a homebody but this winter especially as restaurants are closing backup and large gatherings have been eliminated I’m fully embracing the slower paced holiday season.
Whether you’re at home with loved ones or spending a day solo pampering yourself, I’m craving cozy pieces that will stand the test of time. An incredibly luxurious knit robe, cute nightgowns that you wouldn’t be embarrassed to answer the door in, or a beautiful kettle that makes the art of tea a little extra special.
I have included some of the ways I’ve been enjoying my quiet evenings at-home: a chic dominoes set or a cool puzzle (would also make for great gifts), pasta making Zoom class (can be done solo or virtually with friends), hosted by Food52’s Resident Pasta Maker, Meryl Feinstein.
Set the mood with candles and add in a face mask for good measure: this Tata Harper is a favorite, as well as this one by Goop (the best exfoliator!). They will make your skin so super-soft; a much better way to wake up the next day than with a hangover anyway!
