Rex turns four this week! Every year I say this but I really can’t believe I have a four year old! I wanted to come up with some fun surprises for him and ways to make his birthday feel extra special this year so the Friday before his birthday we kicked the weekend off early with a mini celebration, just our family, with cake and a small gift.
One of the reasons I wanted to surprise him a few days early is because the custom baby board book I had made him from Artifact Uprising arrived and I couldn’t wait to give it to him. I am the worst with gifts / surprises–I always want to give them right away!
The book turned out so adorable! I can’t recommend making one enough–and it would be the perfect holiday gift for any children in your life. You can write and create your own story for them or use the themes they already have. (Since Rex was born on Thanksgiving I thought I’d make him his own “Thankful Book.”) Now I want to make Willow one as well! I always love the process of going through my images from the year as a way to document my favorite memories. Even this year, we’ve made some very sweet memories together just the four of us!
