Rosemary and Lavender Infused Lemonade

I really haven’t had any exciting pregnancy cravings… besides a week during that first trimester when I only wanted enchiladas (what?! My guy was a big fan of that week).  But, I have had more cravings for lemonade than any other time in my life.  Goes hand in hand with summer, but I’m going to chalk it up to le baby.  And if I’m being totally honest one of the main reasons why I chose to vacation again at the Ojai Inn & Spa last week as part of our road trip south was so I could get my lavender lemonade fix.  A couple years after visiting the resort and I was still raving about those tasty poolside lemonades!  Of course last time I had them they were spiked with vodka but this time around they were just as delicious as I had remembered.

Another awesome summer discovery: rosemary lemonade! at a new restaurant in town, OBO.

It’s only been a couple of days since I got back from our trip but I called up my girlfriend Stephanie to help me try to recreate both rosemary and lavender combinations.  Turns out infusing herbs into your lemonade at home isn’t that hard at all.  (Wasn’t as tasty but works in a pinch and makes more sense than a 5+ hour car ride south).  Simply boil sugar, mix in your herbs and add as much as desired of the mixture into your lemonade.  Such a simple upgrade to a summer favorite!
