Fillmore Street San Francisco - Best of Fillmore Street

I recently took this fun little quiz: What city should you actually live in? and was pretty surprised with the outcome (Portland?). I made my guy take it as well and according to BuzzFeed he should move to Cape Town, South Africa, like yesterday. (Of course he would get somewhere cool.) Now there’s nothing wrong with Portland, in fact I want to make a trip soon, but it’s just that I think this quiz actually meant that I should be living in San Francisco (wink, wink). I believe I’ve said it over here before, that even when I was living in New York, San Francisco is the city that most feels like home to me. So you can guess why I’ve been escaping to the bay every chance I get lately and I’d have to say it’s one of the best parts about living in Sacramento–the proximity to everything (our families, SF, Napa, Tahoe).

So many things have changed since I lived in San Francisco, and I’m constantly discovering new gems, however one thing that’s remained the same is my love for Fillmore Street. It’s my go-to neighborhood to meet up with friends for coffee, dinner, shopping and everything else in between. In a way, it reminds me of our old neighborhood in New York and our daily walks down Bleecker Street. I captured a few of my favorite spots recently and thought I’d share. Jane (for coffee and lunch), Juicy News (for foreign magazines), Elizabeth Charles and Curve (for Isabel Marant ogling), Le Labo (for a Santal 26 candle run), Fraîche (for European-style yogurt), Palmers (for cocktails) and Pizzeria Delfina (for obviously, my favorite pizza in the city!). Oh and a few others not pictured here but personal favorites for dinners: SPQR and Pizzeria Delfina.
