While I love testing new beauty products my everyday routine is quite minimal (as most of you know)–and especially during the summer months. The one product that remains consistent throughout the seasons though is a daily spf. Since I have fair skin I’ve learned to be diligent about my sunscreen use over the years so incorporating a cream or makeup with an spf of 15 or higher is the key to my year-round face regimen. As someone who loves dual purpose products, my latest moisturizer and spf-in-one find has been Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream with SPF 30. It’s perfect for those low maintenance summer days when you need a little hydration but you don’t want to pile on too many products.

It’s easy to remember to lather on that spf when laying poolside but it’s the everyday incidental sun exposure that is often dismissed or rarely even thought about. Even if indoors most of the day I hadn’t really stopped to think about the fact that I am usually working right next to a large glass window, that I run out for a quick errand or eat my lunch in the sunshine.
I started noticing more and more brown spots on my cheeks over the years which really made me realize the importance of incorporating a daily sunscreen into my makeup routine year round–no matter the weather or what my plans were. Now whenever I get compliments on my skin I’m always quick to chalk it up to the fact that I’m super diligent with my spf (and bonus: I live in hats)!
