Happy (almost officially) spring! I just realized that the Spring Equinox is tomorrow. Although it was rainy and grey most of this week… and we actually lit nightly fires and leaned into the coziness, ha. I pulled Rex out of school early a few days just to play and hang with him in the afternoons which meant I got a bit behind on some of my projects. But it was so nice to have that time with him. I have been trying to soak up as much quality time with both of them lately. And a highlight from this week was cuddling up with them on the couch and having one of those moments “wow I have TWO kids.” Sometimes it just hits me in those slower moments! Love them so.
I also picked out the flowers for our garden this week which I’m SO excited about. I can’t wait––we begin planting on Monday and it will just be so nice to have greenery and blooms to look at in our backyard instead of the dirt (it’s been for the past few months). And oh how I’m dreaming of all of the spring / summer backyard hangs. Al fresco dining, warm summer evening picnics! Can’t wait.
